Mr. Warren has been the Superintendent for Shallowater ISD over the last six years. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Education from Lubbock Christian University and his Master's Degree from West Texas State University in Canyon, Texas. He did his Principal and Superintendent certifications work at Texas Tech University, Tarleton State, and West Texas State University, completing this work in 1989. He has been a Superintendent for 16 years. He served as the Superintendent of Schools in Lazbuddie and Olton, Texas prior to coming to Shallowater.
Mr Warren serves on the Region XVII regional advisory committee and has also served on the Regional evaluation committee as the chairman the last two years. He has served on several state wide committees and has testified to the Texas Legislature on several issues that affect Shallowater ISD. Mr Warren has also been very active as the District Chairman or co-chairman for several A, AA, and AAA UIL districts. He has also served on several UIL and Community Schools committees.
Mr. Warren has been involved in three bond issues and the building of several new additions or renovations to several campuses since his arrival in Shallowater. The additions have been funded by a grant program with the state. The state has paid for 80% of the building projects with 20% of the funding coming from the local taxpayers in Shallowater. The district, with voter and taxpayer approval, has experienced both an upgrade to existing facilities and the building of new and more modern educational settings on several campuses.
