2022 Bond Construction - March Update

The Shallowater ISD school board held a special meeting on Tuesday, March 7th to consider and APPROVE the Guaranteed Maximum Price for construction on each campus, provided by Lee Lewis Construction. It is an EXCITING time for our school district! We are proud to report these projects are scheduled UNDER BUDGET! Great news for SISD! Projects will begin after Spring Break!

-Elementary: Due to the construction at the front of the building, the front entrance and main office are going to be moved to the computer lab. Drop-off and pick-up zones will shift a few feet north to the entrance by the first-grade hallway. *See the attached photo for reference.* There will be signs and plenty of people to help direct as we adjust to this small change.

-Intermediate: Fencing will go up in the back to allow a point of access for construction vehicles and material delivery.

-Middle School: Fencing will go up in the practice field area to allow a point of access for construction vehicles and for construction to begin on the new gym. Parents, please help us keep our students safe by encouraging them not to take an alternate route and not climb fences.

-High School: The southwest corner outside of the high school building will be reserved for construction vehicles and construction workers to access the second floor. This affects some teacher parking and those who park directly on Ave L. These individuals will need to seek alternative parking.
