I have served on the SISD board of trustees since May of 2014. Born and raised in Rotan, Texas, I am a proud product of a small Texas public school. My family and I love the Lubbock area and we feel that Shallowater is a wonderful place to call home.
I received my B.S. in Biology from Texas Tech University in 1999. I proceeded to complete medical school at the TTU Health Sciences Center in 2003. My residency training in family medicine was obtained at University Medical Center in Lubbock. I then practiced medicine in my hometown from 2006 to 2011.
I made the decision to seek a position on the SISD board of trustees to serve the children that attend Shallowater ISD. I am a first-generation college student that credits many of my educators in helping me achieve my goals. I now understand that for educators to provide exceptional service they must have a supportive and caring administration and community. Shallowater provides these precious commodities. I hope to see SISD continue to provide every child with the tools needed to succeed.
My wife, Stephanie, and I have 3 daughters; Hannah, Grace, and Molly. We also have 2 dogs, a Newfoundland named Cheetos and a Golden Retriever named Rusty. We are proud members of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Lubbock and enjoy traveling and all things Texas Tech.
