Meet the Librarian:  Sharon Ware

I have worked for the school district for several years and have found a home in the Middle School. The students are fun to be around and everyday is something new and exciting. We have a beautiful facility and I encourage you to visit us anytime.

eBook Lending Library
Through our school district’s library program, we have a digital library available to our Middle School and High School students.  We have also added access for our public library patrons.  To use this new service, students and public patrons will need to visit the Shallowater School County Library during open hours to obtain a username and password.

The system is easy to use and works with a wide range of e-readers. However, depending on the individual devices, there may be a small series of steps to go through to get things set-up.

For Kindles, the process is straightforward. Simply login to our eBook library (with an assigned user name and PIN) and you’re ready to go. To get going on other devices (including but not limited to Nook, Android, Kobo,Blackberry PlayBook, iPhone, iPod touch, iPad, or a computer), you first download and install the free Overdrive Media Console app from your favorite app store (or go to omc.overdrive.com and click on your platform of choice). Once installed, you'll be prompted to create an Adobe ID, if you don't already have one, and authorize it to work with OverDrive. Then you will be ready to login to our eBook library with the username and PIN acquired from the librarian.
