My roots in Shallowater run deep. I was born and raised within the community, and I married my high school sweetheart, Cole. We knew we would raise our family here. Both my grandmother and grandfather were employees of the Shallowater ISD for many years. My mother-in-law was also a long-standing employee of the district. At one time, there were five generations of my family living here, and now there are currently three generations that call Shallowater home, with my four children being 4th generation students in the school system.

I ran for the SISD Board of Trustees on the belief that Shallowater truly is one of the greatest places to raise a family. Keeping our students at the forefront of all decisions, adapting a long-range plan to accommodate the growing community, and advocating for each one of our district faculty are top priorities. I know that this is a wonderful community, and I am proud to call Shallowater home.

I farm and run multiple businesses based in Shallowater. I am a member of the local Lions Club, an active teacher in the children’s ministry at First Baptist Shallowater, current Vice President of the Shallowater Intermediate PTO Committee working alongside administration and board members and have coached several seasons for the Shallowater Youth Basketball League. My entities have been proud financial supporters of many community programs including Backpack Buddies, Shallowater Ag Boosters, Shallowater 4-H, Mustard Seed Ministries, Shallowater Education Foundation, Shallowater Youth Football and Shallowater Little League. I also spend many hours a month volunteering at the Sick Children’s Clinic in Lubbock. I serve at both the state and national levels within different commodity groups, currently holding the Director’s seat on both the Texas Corn Producers Board and Growers Association. I believe the experience of proper parliamentary procedure and the comfort of board room setting will be great assets to existing members. A working relationship with lawmakers is part of this role, and I am excited to have the foundational footwork in place to easily integrate educational topics and issues into conversations with local, state, and national elected representatives.
